The upper ditches the standard midsole, allowing suede and synthetic overlays to extend from heel to toe over the mesh underlay, for a fast and streamlined look. While this evolution marks one of the most dramatic changes from one generation to the next for the 990, the biggest leap forward is inside. The addition of FuelCell cushioning in the midsole allows you to feel and see the evolution of the 990.
